The Nation’s Triathlon to Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the only triathlon in the country dedicated to building awareness and raising money for the treatment of leukemia and blood-related cancers. To date, the partnership has garnered an estimated $5.5 million for research, patient education and support initiatives that will help the LLS bring us closer to a cure.

Charity Slots Available: ACHIEVE Kids Tri, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to enriching the lives of youth through the sport of triathlon. Visit www.achievekidstri.org for more information.

Athletes learn how to train for the swim, bike, run, and transitions of a triathlon in a free six-week camp open to youth ages 9 - 14. At the end of every ACHIEVE camp, the athletes put all their hard work into action at a USAT sanctioned kids triathlon. As youth navigate the challenges of a triathlon, they also build essential life skills in fitness, exercise, discipline and self-confidence.

When registering, all athletes MUST agree to the following:

REFUND POLICY: All registrations are final. No refunds, rollovers or transfers at anytime, except for active military. Deferrals only, up to one month prior to race day (August 12, 2010). You will be at least 18 years old on race day, September 12, 2010. You will rack your bike on Saturday, September 11th from 1pm — 8pm. No bikes may be brought into the transition area on race day.

Brief Description:
The 5th Annual Nation´s Triathlon To Benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will take place Sunday, September 12, 2010 in the nation´s capital, Washington, DC. It features a course that winds through Washington, DC´s monument corridor in the shadow of the nation´s best known memorials and national treasures. This Olympic distance triathlon includes a 1.5k swim in the Potomac River, 40k bike course through DC, and a 10k run through Washington, DC´s historical landmarks with a spectacular finish!

Military Athlete Registration

In support of America’s men and women in uniform, the Nation’s Triathlon is pleased to announce that we have reserved slots for active duty and veteran service members to register for the September 12, 2010 race and the Military Challenge, our featured ‘race-within-a-race.’ Registration will be extended to August 1st, 2010 to allow all military personnel, particularly those who have faced recent multiple deployments, the opportunity to participate in this sold-out event.
